This is the true Victory Day celebration complete with horse races, kids activities, and a recreation of the Battle of Greasy Grass (the Little Big Horn). What started as a White Plume family tradition has grown into a well loved local event. Registration for the races begins at 10am, races begin at noon.
Lakota Hemp Days - in conjunction with the Lakota War Pony Races and the Summer Sounds of Resistance concert - make up the newly developed Victory Day Celebration Weekend commemorating the Battle of Greasy Grass (Battle of the Little Big Horn), and celebrating hemp; its value to our people and our planet.
Born of the 15 year Hemp Hoe Down Tradition, the Lakota Hemp Days event is a time to celebrate the Hemp plant and it's wide range of valuable applications for our planet and our people. Shop hemp vendors, participate in activities like hemp paper making, and enjoy hemp foods all while you enjoy live music and camping.
